So lovely...
It was so lovely to see so many of you at the 40
th anniversary celebration in May.
We are hoping to have a bumper news letter with plenty of photos coming out to you all in the next few weeks.
No Families Day this Year
Owing to the impact of the additional organisation required for this years event, and additional birthday celebrations for a resident happening on the same day we have decided not go ahead with our families day this summer.
Of course if you were already planning to visit at this time, please do get in contact and we will put any plans you have on the diary.
Thank you all again for your support.

Celebrating 40 Years of Service and Community
On Saturday 18th of May, The Lodge Trust joyfully celebrated its 40th anniversary with a heartwarming event that brought together residents, staff, families, and supporters. For four decades, we have been dedicated to providing a supportive and caring environment for adults with learning disabilities, and this milestone was a testament to the incredible community we've built together.
The celebration was filled with laughter, reminiscing, and gratitude. Guests enjoyed a day packed with activities, including a service of Thanksgiving, games, food and drinks that catered to all tastes. The highlight of the day was a heartfelt speech from our founder, Fred Hutton, who reflected on the incredible journey from shaky beginnings to where we are today. How each step along the way was God inspired and required faith and trust at each stage. It was also highlighted just how many lives have been touched by the work of The Lodge Trust.
Special thanks go to all those who helped make this day unforgettable. Your continued support and dedication are the pillars of our success. Here's to many more years of making a difference together!
Thank you for being part of our community and sharing in this special milestone. Let's continue to grow and make a positive impact together!
An update from our Café Team
Opening times: 9.30am-4pm Monday to Friday
Our Café is open. We are here from 9.30am-4pm during the week, serving hot and cold drinks, breakfast rolls, light lunches, snacks, cakes and ice creams. We look forward to welcoming you.
We would love to share with you our vision for the Café: The Lodge Trust CIO Café aims to be a real life work experience for our residents. We offer a smaller menu that changes regularly and we, where possible, to use our own fresh produce that we grow in our grounds. We also make as many items as we can on site and/or use local supplies, for example, bakery items from Hambleton's, Fernley's ice cream and fresh coffee from Two Chimps.
In our partnering with local suppliers, they have been teaching us more about the products they provide. We aim to make everything fresh and make as much as we can in-house.
One thing we have learned is that some of our residents are fantastic bakers. So do pop along and come and try one of our homemade cakes. We look forward to welcoming you.
