Residential Care Support Staff

Full-time/part-time (and bank) positions from £8.01/hour (depending on relevant experience).

001The Lodge Trust is a Christian Care Provider and our Biblical beliefs shape everything we do. We are looking for people to support residents in their day-to-day lives, giving personal care where needed, training and emotional support, but above all helping them grow in their spiritual lives.

Are you a practising Christian who is a 'people person', looking for a new challenge, willing and able to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support for adults with learning disabilities, committed to developing their skills, promoting their choices and helping them realise their full potential?

You will work a variety of shifts, including earlies, lates and weekends, which will be on a rota basis, so a flexible approach is essential.

Waking Night – Care Support Staff

Job vacancies£8.45/hr. Usual Shift Patterns: 21:45–07:45 (10 hrs) 

We are recruiting night-time care support staff to work nights within our Care Home Team. This is a 24 hour service which treats those we support with dignity and respect.
You will need to have or work towards qualifications—Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and have experience in personal care/support of others. A moving and handling certificate would be advantageous. In addition, due to our rural location, it is essential that you can get to Market Overton without relying on public transport.

The successful applicants must be 18+, will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Apprenticeship in Horticulture

horticultureThe Lodge Trust undertakes a variety of horticultural activities, alongside supporting adults with learning disabilities, who are very much involved in all these activities. An apprentice would be able to be involved in some or all areas of horticulture depending on their particular area of interest.  This will include plant production, grounds maintenance and Country Park maintenance.

The successful applicant will also need to ensure accurate records are kept and this would include a working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel; additional training would be given in our specialist care home IT programme.

Gap Year Opportunity 2017/18

Spend a year serving the Lord at The Lodge Trust:

pickingDeveloping your faith by serving others; discipleship 1:1 with people with learning disabilities; supporting/mentoring others to live Christ-like lives; supporting individuals with their personal care as required; training – the opportunity to complete the Growing Leaders Course and have a mentor; accommodation – you will live with other Interns at our main site in Market Overton. We will provide you with a main meal each weekday and a monthly expense allowance of £275.
